Amcel is a joint initiative of the Amsterdam electrochemistry community, striving to lay the foundation for the green and electrical energy based chemistry of the future. As of this year, Amcel has established annual awards for the best PhD thesis and best BSc thesis in the field of electrochemistry. The first awards will be presented at the Amcel Symposium to be held on 28 October 2021. We invite you to submit nominations according to the guidelines below.
Amcel Award
Deadline: 15 August 2021
Eligibility: PhD students, who have been awarded their PhD degree from a Dutch University during the period January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020
Prize: 500 euro in cash and an oral presentation at the AMCEL Symposium on 28th October 2021
Nomination: By the PhD thesis supervisor(s) and accompanied by a recommendation letter (1-2 pages) and a digital copy of the PhD thesis. The documents should be sent to amcelthesisaward-science@uva.nl

Amcel BSc Thesis Award
Deadline: 15 August 2021
Eligibility: BSc students who have received their BSc degree from a Dutch research or applied sciences university during the period June 2019 to June 2021
Prize: 250 euro in cash and a poster presentation at the Amcel Symposium on 28th October 2021
Nomination: By the BSc thesis supervisor and accompanied by a recommendation letter (1 page) and a digital copy of the BSc thesis. The documents should be sent to amcelthesisaward-science@uva.nl
